BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus (BPDC) is the international branch of Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, India. Call for Papers
This conference offers a unique opportunity for scholars, decision-makers, researchers, and practitioners dedicated to fostering a sustainable future and advancing innovation in the era of digital transformation. Academic institutions, government agencies, and private sector organizations will gain valuable insights into cutting-edge research in critical and emerging areas of sustainability. We invite academics, industry experts, and research students to submit their contributions. The conference will feature three types of submissions:
Submission Types
- • Full Papers: Well-established research findings, with a maximum length of 8 pages.
- • Posters: Research work that can be presented as poster (no publication).
- • Abstract only: Oral presentation (no publication)

This is an excellent platform for sharing knowledge, exchanging ideas, and driving forward the global sustainability agenda.

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
The i-STAR 2025 is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity in all its publications and proceedings. We aim to ensure that all published materials are accurate, original, and adhere to ethical guidelines.
The following statement outlines the policies of i-STAR 2025 regarding publication ethics and the measures taken to prevent and address research misconduct:
Originality and Plagiarism:
Submissions must be original and must properly cite or reference all sources of information. Plagiarism in any form, including self-plagiarism, will result in immediate rejection or, if discovered post-publication, retraction of the work.
Authorship:
Only individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the work should be listed as authors. All listed authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and consent to its submission.
Data Integrity:
Authors are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the data presented. Any fabrication, falsification, or intentional manipulation of data is considered serious misconduct and will be dealt with accordingly.
Language and Submission Guidelines:
- • All papers must be written in English language and submitted through the official online submission portal.
- • Plagiarism Threshold: Ensure plagiarism similarity index is below 15%.
- • Multiple Submissions: Submitting the same manuscript to more than one conference or publication simultaneously is prohibited.
- • Presentation Requirement: At least one author must register and present accepted papers/abstracts.
Conflict of Interest:
Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the research or its interpretation.
Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI):
Authors must disclose any use of AI tools (e.g., for writing assistance, data analysis, image generation) in their research or manuscript preparation. AI must not be listed as an author, and its use should not compromise the originality, accuracy, or integrity of the submission.

Neither iSTAR-2025 nor any individual acting on its behalf accepts responsibility for any consequences arising from the use of information presented in published papers. While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, errors may occur despite rigorous review processes.
Responsibilities of Editors and Reviewers
- • Fair Review: Editors and reviewers must evaluate submissions objectively, based on academic merit, relevance, and quality, without bias related to the author's identity, affiliation, or background.
- • Confidentiality: All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers and editors must not disclose or use unpublished material for personal gain.
- • Timeliness: Editors and reviewers are expected to provide constructive feedback and decisions in a timely manner.
